By Isle of Wight ObserverA man from Ryde has pleaded Guilty to possessing a Pedophile grooming manual before the Isle of Wight Crown Court sitting in Newport today.
Jamie Downing, 27, who lives in Oakvale Road, Ryde, admitted possessing the manual along with six other charges when he appeared before the presiding judge at the Isle of Wight Crown Court today (Monday, January 7).
The court heard that the manual had been downloaded after being shared in a grooming forum and had been in Downing’s possession for over two years.
Adjourning the case for a pre-sentence report, the judge stated he was leaving all options open for sentencing.
Downing has been granted unconditional bail. He will be sentenced on February 5, 2019.Â
