Ryde beat Bakers in two‑wicket finish

In Division One, Ryde won by 2 wickets against Island Bakeries A, with 28 from Ellis Ridett and 21 from skipper, Matt Webb, helping the Bakers to 107 all out with 4 balls remaining. In reply, Ryde’s Mark Oatley’s unbeaten 35, and Liam Ringer’s 31, helped Ryde reach 108-4 with 5 balls left.

Leaders Ventnor beat Northwood by 2 wickets, with Northwood all out for 85 with 3 balls left, and Martyn Richards top-scoring with 21. Ventnor responded with Toby Noyes opening with 35 not out, the team reached 89-4 in the eighth over.

In Division Two, St Helens beat Newport B by 26 runs, with opener, Mark Hartnell, striking an unbeaten 63, and skipper, Rob Holdcroft, adding 25, and St Helens were set a target of 187-5. In reply, Liam Goldsmith hit 52 from a score of 161-5.

Division Three saw Shanklin & Godshill B beat IW Disability B by 6 wickets, with opener and skipper, Lucas Cotton, hitting 31 from a total of 51 all out in the 10th over. Shanklin openers, Ollie Maidment (13) and Alfie Pease (23), were unbeaten as Shanklin reached 52-0 in the sixth over to win.

Island Bakeries B beat the Hot Mermaids of Ventnor by 41 runs, with Jack Charlesworth hitting 30 from a score of 117-5. Daisy Chapman took 3 wickets, Gemma Woodford took a catch and a wicket, and Amelia Cresswell 2 catches. In reply, Kirren Shaw opened with 20 from a score of 76-5.
