Race for Life at Shalfleet School raises total of £300

Race for Life is a fundraising event run every year at Shalfleet Church of England school.

Everyone comes to the school dressed in pink for a donation of £1, and there are cakes and other refreshments on sale during the afternoon’s races.

This year, Shalfleet C of E school raised the fantastic amount of over £300. There was a 24-hour sports day, which involved races, football matches for different age groups from

Reception to Year 6, tennis matches, football, rounders, hockey and basketball. After school activities continued with new age kurling, rounders and archery. The sports continued all through the night until 9.30pm, when the children and staff were ready to retire to bed!
