Pygmalion at Quay Arts explores self-discovery

Blaxbox Theatre Company presents Pygmalion next Friday (August 9), at the Quay Arts Centre in Newport. This lovingly reworked adaptation of George Bernard Shaw’s classic play takes a humorous yet poignant look at the hollowness of the British class system, gender roles and social mobility and explores the question: “Is it right to try and fundamentally change someone?”

A tale of male manipulation and female self-discovery, this story is perhaps more relevant today than it was when first staged over a hundred years ago.

Booking is recommended – to get your tickets please visit iw.observer/pygmalion-tickets or call Quay Arts Box Office on 822490.

Tickets are £12 in advance or £15 on the door. The play starts onstage from 8pm.

Evening menu available before the show! See menu on the Quay Arts website and book a table by calling 722124.
