Police called to Carisbrooke cemetery
1 min readOfficers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight constabulary, including a dog handler, were called to cemetery in Newport at around 9.30 am.
The police entered the grounds of the cemetery to carry out a search, and left shortly after 10 am.
It is unclear what the police were investigating, but residents noticed a large presence attending the scene under blue lights.
A grey Peugeot Partner van was seen leaving the cemetery site after police had left the site.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight constabulary have been approached for comment.
