Tapnell Farm is celebrating the humble pumpkin this October, with the Pumpkin Trail on until October 31, with a Pumpkin Festival from October 28 to 31 (Monday to Thursday).
The Pumpkin Trail is a lovely meander through the field where you can select your own pumpkin, and take selfies at the various decorative themed spots along the way. There will be pumpkins of all colours and sizes to choose from, with refreshments available. Open from midday to 4pm.
The Pumpkin Festival is a stand-alone, all-weather event for all the family to enjoy, held in the Farm Park’s event barn, alongside the Pumpkin Trail. Join them for lots of pumpkin-related festivities, including pumpkin-carving, ferret-racing, gourd games and vintage funfair amusements. There will be live acoustic cover music over the lunchtime period, refreshments, a licensed bar, and competitions. The festival will be open from midday to 6pm on October 29 to 31.
To celebrate the start of the Pumpkin Festival, it will be open later until 8.30pm on Monday, October 28, with extra evening entertainment from 4.30pm. Sing along to Vote Pedro, enjoy the party atmosphere and experience the Pumpkin Trail illuminated at night.
The farm had a bumper crop of pumpkins, so put on your wellies and find the perfect pumpkin to take home, or carve at the festival for free.
There is free admission and free parking for the Pumpkin Festival. Pick your own pumpkin prices vary according to size of the pumpkin and some activities will have a small charge. Tapnell Farm Park admission is not included.
