Arcadia, on Ryde Esplanade, first used as an arcade and bingo hall in 1946, is set to become a pool hall and takeaway.
A revised planning application has been made for the building, seeking approval to install 13 pool tables along with a bar, kitchen and seating area. Originally 10 pool tables were planned. The application has been made by Ronnie Keates, of Rocket Ronnie’s Pool Hall in Newport.
Mr Keates said that working with the owners he believes he can breathe new life into the listed building.
