Murder most foul at St Mary Mead!

A chill wind of change is blowing through the sleepy lanes of the Isle of Wight, and it’s carrying a scent of danger and dark secrets straight to the stage of the Apollo Theatre, Newport. The Apollo Theatre Players are set to unleash an electrifying adaptation of Agatha Christie’s gripping thriller, The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side, opening on October 24.

It’s the swinging sixties, a time of upheaval, even in the tranquil village of St Mary Mead. A new housing estate is causing a stir, but the real frenzy has arrived with the news that a glamorous American film star has bought the grand Manor House. Confined to a chair, the village’s sharpest mind, Miss Jane Marple, wonders if life has passed her by, until a vicious murder shatters the calm.

Miss Marple must now deploy all her cunning to navigate a treacherous web of lies, tragedy, and revenge.

Director Carol Death promises a production that is “an enjoyable, suspenseful, and often witty theatrical experience.” This dynamic, new adaptation by Rachel Wagstaff delves into the real emotional depth and psychological insight of Christie’s plot–twisty genius.
