McDonald’s franchise owners on the Isle of Wight have agreed to switch off their free WIFI service in hopes to tackle the spike in anti-social behaviour outside its Newport restaurant.

The free WIFI service will be turned off from 4pm to prevent feral youths from loitering outside the building and causing trouble around the town.

The fast food chain is also considering playing classical music in store, a deterrent that was used at London’s Shepherd’s Bush restaurant  – dubbed “the roughest Mcdonald’s in London”.
