Local charity needs feedback to help develop new services

By Press Release Oct 5, 2022

Local charity, Age UK Isle of Wight, will celebrate their fiftieth birthday in 2023.

As they celebrate their Golden Anniversary, they are looking forward to developing a new strategic five-year plan and they need your help to do it!

Rachel McKernan, Age UKIW’s CEO, said: “We want to understand what you, our older residents, need, what you are worried about, and what we can do to address these worries.

“We know that many worries and concerns will be outside the scope of services we could deliver; however, our role as advocates for you, and campaigners on your behalf, means we can raise concerns with Health and Social Care services and decision-makers.
“Any information you share with us will be anonymous. We are asking questions about six areas of your lives that national research has identified as the topics that older people are most worried about. We want to know if it is the same, or different, here so that our plans can reflect the reality of living on our Island.”

You can take part in the survey online by visiting ageukiw.org.uk, or a paper copy to be returned by Freepost can be requested by calling 525282. The deadline for responses is October 23.
