Last big display for Terry and Sue

Terry Ramplin

Terry and Sue Ramplin, who have raised many thousands of pounds for charity over the last 25 years, are preparing for their last big Christmas light show.

Their impressive display of Christmas lights in Newport has delighted children of all ages for quarter of a century, but Terry says he is getting too long in the tooth now to put up all the lights, so this will be their final big display. They would dearly like to see representatives of all the charities and good causes they have supported over the years to attend the final switch on to help mark the occasion. The causes are varied and include the Owl and Monkey Haven, Beaulieu House, and Vectis Corps of Drums, among many others.

Last week, we published that this event takes place on ‘Sunday (November 30)’. We apologise for the error, all are welcome to 68 Long Lane on Saturday (November 30) at 6pm. There will be a band playing, with all proceeds going to charity. Sausage rolls, mince pies, mulled wine and hot chocolate will be available.
