Lake Tidy Team organised an end-of-summer barbecue, for volunteers, and colleagues at Men in Sheds, to thank them for their achievements improving the public realm in the parish.
Co-ordinator, Elaine Hayes, with husband, Andrew, who organised the event, said : “The dedicated team of volunteers have made a real difference to the parish, and we appreciate the contribution made by the growing number of volunteers, as well as the parish council, local businesses, and Men In Sheds for their help.”
Projects included Lake Cliff Path, the Railway Station, Cemetery Road, the Revetment adjacent to the public toilets, Percy Road, and other locations in Lake.
The Tidy Team have already helped secure the donation of plants and shrubs, grants for New Road and Lake Cliff Gardens, and are improving and maintaining the troughs at the War Memorial in the lead up to Remembrance and Armistice Days.
