National Young Farmers Week finishes today (Friday), after running from October 7 to 11.
The theme of this year’s campaign was inclusivity. Despite the name, you don’t need to come from a farming background to join, just have an interest in agriculture, animals or the outdoors. The membership is for those aged 10-28, and they meet at least twice a month. Young Farmers Club (YFC) is great for meeting new people, making new friends and learning more about rural life, all whilst having fun.
As part of the campaign, the IW YFC have raised donations over the last couple weeks for the IW Foodbank. The club collected a total of 221 items.
