HSS burgled for £540 of equipment from their Wootton Bridge site

A burglary in Wootton Bridge has left a local hire company out of pocket. 

HSS Hire & Traffic Management Isle of Wight took to Facebook to announce they been burgled.

The hire company’s Harding Shute site in Ryde was targeted for traffic light batteries worth £540.

HSS say the burglary happened overnight and urge anyone with information to contact police on 101.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Between 10am on July 25 and 5.45am on July 26 we’ve got the theft of nine batteries from Harding Shute which are used for the purposes of powering temporary traffic lights.

“Anyone with information or if you saw anything suspicious around the Wootton Bridge, Harding Shute area at the time please give us a call on 101 quoting crime reference number 44180282565.”
