How 2 Survive 60 Years in TV, with Fred Dinenage

With a career spanning six decades, Fred Dinenage has earned his place as one of Britain’s most beloved broadcasters.

This year, 2024, marks Fred’s sixtieth anniversary as a revered reporter and TV presenter, and to celebrate this incredible milestone, Jack Up Events are inviting Islanders to celebrate with the man himself – in person – at Shanklin Theatre on Saturday, November 2.

Audiences will fondly remember Fred’s appearances on Southern Television, TVS, Tell The Truth, How (and its successor, How 2), and his time as the face of news on Coast To Coast and Meridian Tonight.

During this show, the warm and witty Fred will take you on an enjoyable journey through his illustrious career, featuring many magnificent moments down TV’s memory lane.

Hear fascinating stories from behind the scenes of many shows, and stars that will surprise and entertain you. This includes rare and recently found archive treasures from The Beatles, Morecambe & Wise, Sid James, and Crossroads’ Noele Gordon… among many more.

For the first time, Fred will also share the truth behind the moments when it wasn’t always “alright on the night”, with his hand-picked bloopers and gaffs.

From black and white to colour… Fred was there!

Tickets are £22.50 including booking fee. Buy online at shanklintheatre.com or call the theatre box office on 01983 868000.
