Hovertravel’s Customer Service Superstar in the final

Hovertravel’s Lorry Middleton has been shortlisted for the final of the Beautiful South Awards Customer Service Superstar. Lorry is a firm favourite with Hovertravel customers, both regular users and first-time passengers.

Loretta Lale, Head of Commercial at Hovertravel, explains: “Lorry’s name is the one which is most mentioned in our positive reviews. He has been nominated in our internal customer service awards consistently and it is this ongoing dedication from Lorry to the customer which makes him a great example to everyone at Hovertravel. He is approachable, engaging and always looking to help customers. Most recently he was described as a ‘true gentleman’ and ‘a treasure’.”

Lorry’s commitment to the customer is his highest priority. He regularly demonstrates this by making sure that customers are sitting comfortably, that they know what will happen at the other end of their hovercraft journey and by making insightful suggestions and recommendations to greatly improve the customer’s overall trip.

Lorry and Hovertravel will now have to wait until 10 December for the final, where he will be alongside the other finalists from Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa, Gunwharf Quays, Chichester Festival Theatre and Solent Hotel & Spa.

The Beautiful South Awards celebrate excellence in tourism across the South East. They aim to promote and reward businesses and individuals in the tourism industry, whatever their sector and size.

Hovertravel also achieved Commended status in the Access and Inclusivity Award category for their Hovercare initiative.
