‘Going Electric’ returns next month, showcasing Green Technology

Following the success of last year’s event, ‘Going Electric’ will be returning on Sunday, July 28 to showcase all things electric, with Ridge Clean Energy announced as main sponsor.

The previous two events have generated a real buzz, with 1,000 visitors exploring over 40 stands – and 2024 is set to be bigger and better as it moves to Newport Quayside and the neighbouring Riverside Centre.

Going Electric is the Island’s largest Electric Transport and Green Technology show, giving Islanders the opportunity to explore the latest electric cars, vans, charging solutions, bikes, solar panels, heat pumps and much more. Visitors will also enjoy talks from leading experts on many aspects of the electric transport revolution and sustainable living.

The free-to-attend event will showcase major automotive brands including MG, Mercedes, Peugeot, Ford, Volvo, Hyundai, VW, Skoda, KIA and Toyota from the Island’s main dealers with more yet to be announced.

The popular ‘Bike Zone’ will enable visitors to test ride the latest electric bikes, with the ‘Meet the owner’ area providing the perfect opportunity to meet EV owners. The refreshments area sponsored by PC Consultants is the perfect place to sit and relax during your visit.

Talks from leading experts are again sponsored by Red Funnel and will look at electrification of home and transport, and the bigger picture of renewable technologies.
