Floating Bridge out of service due to prow issue

The Floating Bridge is out of service on Thursday morning (September 20).

At around 6.30am, Isle of Wight Council (IWC) issued a statement explaining a fault, unrelated to yesterday’s shoe fitting works, had caused the service to stop running.

An IWC spokesman said: “Engineers are investigating a fault with the prow, which is unrelated to the work carried out yesterday.

“A passenger launch is running.”
