Fire crews called to hospital to remove patients handcuffs

Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Services were called to St Mary’s Hospital last night after after a man arrive at the hospital needing to be cut free from a pair of handcuffs.

A crew from Newport Fire Station were called out at at around 2.30am this morning (March 18) after medical staff on site failed to free the man from his shiny cuffs.

It’s understood the handcuffs were not police issue.
