Firefighters were called out to reports of a chimney fire at a property in Ventnor on Wednesday (December 12).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service arrived at a residential property on Ocean View Road at around midday.
One appliance from Newport and the retained firefighters from Shanklin attended the scene to bring the blaze under control.
An aerial appliance was also used to deal with smoke in the roof space.
