A patient is safely on their way to St Mary’s hospital in Newport this evening (Tuesday, January 15), thanks to the help of an Isle of Wight fire and rescue service crew stationed at Freshwater.
The fire fighters, along with community first responder paramedics and an ambulance crew, were mobilised to the property in West Wight earlier this evening.
On arrival, the ambulance crew called on their partners from the fire service to assist with the extrication of a patient, which was achieved with the assistance of a salvage sheet.
