A young Islander is spreading festive cheer, and encouraging kindness and connection this season through a heart-warming calendar initiative in support of the IW Youth Trust.
Bobby Scudder, 11, who attends Lanesend Primary School, Cowes, has designed a well-being Advent calendar, filled with 24 uplifting activities.
Each day offers a simple moment of joy, reflection, or togetherness – perfect for supporting mental well-being during the winter months.
Calendars have been professionally printed and will be distributed across six Island primary schools: Northwood, Lanesend, Gurnard, Binstead, St Francis, Ventnor and St Blasius, Shanklin.
Alongside the calendars, IW Youth Trust wellness journals will also be available in school receptions for a suggested donation of £2 each.
For those wishing to support the campaign further, both calendars and journals can also be collected from the IW Youth Trust, Pyle Street, Newport.
Bobby said: “This campaign is about more than fund-raising, it’s about helping young people feel supported, and connected during a time which can be tough for mental health. I hope the calendar brings a little light to families this winter.”
Paul Savill, IW Youth Trust spokesman, said: “We’re so proud of Bobby for his creativity and passion in leading this initiative, and grateful to our corporate partners for helping bring it to life.”
