Farewell to Reg

Former Freshwater Firefighter Reg Saunders has passed away peacefully at St Mary’s Hospital.

Reg joined Freshwater Fire Station in 1961 and, for 26 years, served the West Wight and wider Isle of Wight Community.

He retired from the service in 1987. Friends of Freshwater Station said: “Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with his wife Elizabeth and all his family at this sad time.”
