English Heritage delivers family fun to the Island

All The Queen's Horses

This week, crowds soaked up the sun whilst enjoying the Legendary Joust at Carisbrooke Castle. Did we see you there? You can view our on-line gallery via iw.observer/carisbrooke-jousting-pics or by scanning the QR code.

Although the joust has now come to an end, there is plenty of fun to be had at Osborne House next week, with their All the Queen’s Horses event! Set against the backdrop of Queen Victoria’s beloved Island home, immerse yourself in the thrill and excitement of exceptional horsemanship. In between these magnificent displays, enjoy dazzling side-saddle performances and traditional dressage shows as merry music fills the air.

Be amazed by “40 Years of Fire”, with fire-eating, fire-breathing and fire-juggling – it’s not one to be missed! Afterwards, meet Queen Victoria herself, as she talks about her love for horses, and shows off her own equestrian skills.

Throughout the day you’ll also be entertained by live music and Punch & Judy shows, and be able to wander the beautiful house, gardens and grounds of Osborne.
