The Comedy Social is back at Northwood House next Friday, February 7, featuring a variety of comedy gems.
Headliner is Jacob Hawley, who features in BBC sitcom Ladhood. He has appeared on The Stand Up Sketch Show and did stand up on The Russell Howard Hour.
Second on the bill is one of the most well-known and highly recognised stand-up comedians in South Africa today, Thenjiwe. She has three YouTube channels with more than 180,000 subscribers and more than 40 million views.
Don Biswas has been performing stand-up comedy since mid-2007. His unique set combines both sharp one-liners, with humour about having Dyspraxia and mild traits of Asperger’s Syndrome and the effect it has had on him, while coming from a middle class Indian family. Also thrown into the mix are quirky observational, political and topical humour.
Host and MC for the night is Sunjai Arif.
The evening will start and end with live music. Doors open 7pm, with comedy starting from 8pm.
Tickets are £17.50, and can be booked on-line via iw.observer/comedy-social.
