A mother checking the content of her teenage daughter’s phone, was shocked to discover a number of videos of school-age students engaged in brutal fights.
Two of the videos feature teenagers in Christ the King College uniform. The troubled school has recently been heavily criticised in an Ofsted report for a culture of bullying.
One of the videos is of a fight on a football pitch in Christ the King school grounds, with a flurry of punches thrown, while other students egg on the participants and record the action on their mobile phones.
Another video, shot at Newport bus station, features a vicious fight between two girls – one wearing a Christ the King College uniform – in which the girls come to blows and pull each other’s hair, while a horrified onlooker pleaded with them to stop.
