Chilly Hilly brings community spirit

More than just a run, this year’s ‘Chilly Hilly’ 10-mile race delivered community spirit, spectacular scenery, and serious hills on Sunday.

The event welcomed runners from across the Island and beyond to tackle the challenging multi-terrain course around the West Wight countryside.

Despite the sunshine and mild temperatures, there was a stiff breeze, but that didn’t deter the runners.

Finishers received a medal and enjoyed music, mulled wine, and mince pies, and a cheer at the finish line.

Looking ahead, early-bird entries are already open for Chilly Hilly 2026, which returns on Sunday, December 13, while the Tapnell 10 and Needles Half Marathon take place on the weekend of June 6/7.
