Cheque for HQ work

Last Thursday (Sept 19) Alex Landels and George Mortimore of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary Association (RFAA) presented Chief Petty Officer Linden Softley with a cheque for £250 towards the refurbishment of the headquarters of Ryde Sea Cadets at The Old Fire Station.

The cadets have recently had 24 hours on the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) ship Lyme Bay at Bournemouth Air Show, taking part in firefighting, damage control, first aid and forming part of the ships company. The visit from the RFAA complimented this recent experience with cadets having the opportunity to chat to members who have served in the RFA.
