Freshwater Independent Lifeboat has received a large training grant which will be a massive help to their plans for 2019.
The cash, nearly £11,000, which was awarded by UK Search and Rescue, will enable the lifeboat team to train new members, and continue training existing ones.
Rod Adams, FILB principal fundraiser said: “Another of our Christmas wishes has been granted. This significant grant allows us to release other funds raised from donations, from the public, for essential equipment and maintenance — a never ending task as most of our equipment across the board has a finite life. We wish to thank UKSAR for making this possible.”
