Southern Vectis buses have been diverted following a gas leak in Bembridge that was discovered this morning.
The diversion of Route 8 will operate in both directions until the leak has been fixed and the road can be reopened.
The closure and the changes will come into effect from 9 am on Thursday morning.
Buses will divert via Mill Road and the High Street, to Forelands road and Crossways, before resuming their normal route.
The changes will operate in both directions.
