Body found in Ryde’s Player Street

Police are responding to the discovery of a body in Ryde on Friday evening (November 16).

Four police vehicles attended a residential address in Player Street.

The ambulance service are also in attendance.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We were called at 3.12pm this afternoon to a report of a man’s body being found at an address in Ryde.

“Officers are currently attending the address in Player Street and enquiries are ongoing.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
