Adam Miller testimonial by West Wight FC

West Wight FC paid tribute to midfielder, Adam Millar, on Saturday, with a testimonial to mark his retirement after playing more than 750 games for the club.

Totland resident, Adam, 45, has played local football for almost 30 seasons, 28 with West Wight, and the occasion was marked with a game between two mixed teams of current players and ‘old boys’. He has played 618 of his games for the first team, as a central midfielder, scoring 236 goals, and, more recently, making 113 appearances and scoring 54 goals for the reserves. He is also one of six members of the Millar family to have played for West Wight.

Adam’s efforts helped the club to win 11 Island League Division One titles and seven Isle of Wight Challenge Cups, between 2003-2011, and the Isle of Wight Memorial Cup three times, together with a Hampshire Cup, an Isle of Wight Junior B Cup, and Combination One and Two titles.
