Following the huge success of Cherry Godfrey’s Ad-Mazing Creations on the Island, in 2025, Cherry Godfrey is delighted to announce that the competition is back, bigger and more creative than ever for 2026, and once again in partnership with the IW Observer.
This inspiring initiative invites pupils aged 5–15 to design adverts for real, local businesses, offering them a unique, creative challenge with a real-world connection. Combining art, design and entrepreneurship, the competition empowers young people to explore the world of advertising while having fun and gaining recognition for their creativity.
Participating schools and home-schooled children will receive a full competition pack, including instructions and business briefs from the businesses themselves. Children can submit entries created freehand or digitally.
Each business sponsor will submit an advertising brief of their choosing, and will select their winning designs in two age categories, primary and secondary, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners celebrated at a special awards ceremony in July.
In addition to individual recognition, schools with the most winning entries will be awarded cash prizes, and all winners will be featured in a special Ad-Mazing Creations supplement in the IW Observer.
“We were overwhelmed by the creativity and enthusiasm shown by pupils on the Isle of Wight last year. We’re thrilled to be continuing the competition in 2026, and we can’t wait to see what young designers come up with,” said Andrew Tapsell, regional group director for Cherry Godfrey.
Schools, youth groups and local businesses on the Isle of Wight interested in getting involved can register by email to marketing@cherrygodfrey.com or call 303344
Let’s make 2026 the Isle of Wight’s most Ad-Mazing year yet!
