A musical evening with Milton Hide

By IW Observer.co.uk Jun 10, 2022

Milton Hide will be performing at Ventnor Arts Club tonight (Friday).

Jim and Josie Tipler, from East Sussex, make up the folk musical duo Milton Hide. They started performing in 2017, building on Jim’s experience of playing in folk and roots bands for many years.

The duo’s debut album ‘Temperature’s Rising’ was released in the spring of last year after being recorded during lockdown in 2020.

Jim’s guitar and Josie’s vocals blend together seamlessly to tell well-crafted songs and stories; they have been described as ‘reminiscent of the Moody Blues’ and ‘a touch of Fleetwood Mac’. Their musical arrangements also include percussion, and using the clarinet to provide a third voice to the performance.

It will be an evening of intriguing and memorable music and stories that you won’t want to miss.

The performance will start at 8pm and finish at 10:30pm, tickets are £13.38 for members and £16.58 for non-members and are available on-line at bit.ly/IWO-MiltonHide.
