An evening with John Illsley

The evening will feature classics from the Dire Straits history and include a Q & A with a/v led by Paul Cummins [ex-Dire Straits management}.

Paul will be asking questions, during which John will reveal the story and development of the band from its humble beginnings in a council flat in South London, where songs like Sultans of Swing and Wild West End were created, on their journey to playing all over the world to millions of fans, making albums in London, New York, Montserrat and Nassau; performing and and working with some of the world’s most influential and creative musicians and producers.

Seven Drunken Nights

Following its sold out smash hit debut tour, Seven Drunken Nights – The Story of The Dubliners returns to theatres in 2019 with an even bigger production.

Direct from the West End, the show brings to life the music of Ireland's favorite sons 'The Dubliners’. Telling the story of a career spanning 50 years and evoking the spirit of Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly, Barney McKenna, Jim McCann, Ciaran Bourke and John Sheahan. This talented cast of musicians and singers bring the music of this iconic group to life.

Collabro - Plus support 'Georgia & the Vintage Youth'

Elkie Brooks

Long before the end of a live show and the frequent standing ovations that accompany it, there comes a point where Elkie does something so amazing that it leaves her audience almost spellbound. It could be a particularly emotional rendition of one of her ballads, a powerhouse blues vocal or one of her trademark impossibly long notes that leaves the audience mesmerised.

Wolverton Folk & Blues Fair

The ninth annual Wolverton Folk & Blues Fair will take place in the stunning grounds of Wolverton Manor, Shorwell, Isle of Wight on Saturday 11th May 2019. 11.30am to 8.00pm.

After a sell-out successful launch in 2011, the family friendly festival has been gaining momentum with fantastic bands/artists each year along with locally produced food, children's activities, tea tent and not forgetting the Real Ale tent!

400th Parkrun

Parkrun takes place each week so 400 represents almost 8 years of parkrun on the Isle of Wight!

The current record for the number of runners taking part is 400. We want to beat that on our 400th run. We are trying to encourage all parkrunners (active and lapsed) to come back and run on 16 March.

parkrun is completely free, and relies on volunteers to put on a 5k timed run each Saturday. It is a run, not a race. Everyone can take part, either runners or walkers. It is an inclusive, welcoming event and it is a fantastic way to get fit, and stay fit.

Trinity Theatre Cowes Presents Bad Blood a play by Richard Stockwell.

Years ago, Tom had an affair with Catherine who became pregnant and had an abortion - or so he thinks. Now he is married to Vie and their relationship is on the rocks because she cannot conceive and Tom is desperate to be a father.

Enter Smokey, a nineteen-year-old runaway whose girlfriend is none other than Catherine's and Tom's daughter Belinda. Tom's wish to be a father is fulfilled, but remember the saying: be careful what you wish for - you might just get it. Tom's past catches up with him in a terrifying sequence of events involving deception, plots and murder. Then a final, tragic twist saturates his life with the bitterest irony.
