Motorists are warned to avoid the main road between Wroxall and Ventnor due to a crash.
A male motorcyclist has been injured in a collision with a BMW.
Southern Vectis took to Twitter to warn road users of the road traffic incident.
Police were called to Newport Road at 9.49am and are advising that drivers avoid the area until emergency services have cleared the scene.
Busses will divert via Godshill, Whitwell and Ventnor.
The diversion is operating in both directions “until further notice”.

Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: “Called at 9.49am to a collision involving a car and a motorbike on Newport Road.
“Car is a BMW. Male motorcyclist is injured, ambulance are on scene.”
The Isle of Wight Ambulance service were called to the scene at around 9.30am.
