Word Spoken Song give Wildheart Trust a boost

1 min read

Boojum & Snark hosted an evening with Mark and Matt who, together, are Word Spoken Song to raise £150 for the Wildheart Trust, Sandown.

Word Spoken Song’s performance was an eclectic evening of spoken word, poetry and acoustic music, all in praise of planet Earth. Especially poignant were the pieces which touched upon the current malaise of climate change and the need to protect our planet. There was also funny observational humour woven into spoken word pieces which raised a smile.

Matt’s rich voice was charged full of passion and feeling, mesmerising the audience and creating a memorable evening which raised funds for a much-loved local charity.

Tracy Mikich, co-founder of Boojum & Snark, Sandown, said: “Word Spoken Song created a magical evening. It was very bohemian, almost like being in Sandown’s down-town cultural quarter!

“In a world where we only engage for a few seconds at a time, it was a balm to have the opportunity to reflect and feel a kinship with others.”
