The IW Story Festival returns to Quay Arts in Newport, from February 19–21, bringing three days of storytelling fun for children, families, and young people during half term. The festival celebrates stories in all their forms, with author talks, puppetry, theatre, creative workshops, dance, and more.
Young readers and families can meet and hear from a stellar line-up of children’s authors, illustrators, and performers. Highlights include sessions with CBeebies star and author, Joseph Elliott, creator of the adventurous Nora series, award-winning illustrator, Rob Biddulph, and bestselling authors such as Emma Carroll, Lucy Strange, Cathy Reay, and Steve Cole. Alongside author talks, sessions will feature creative activities, performances, and interactive storytelling suitable for a wide range of ages.
Whether you’re discovering new books, joining a workshop, or watching theatre performances, the festival offers something for everyone, and helps to promote a love of reading, and creative expression. Tickets are on sale now on-line at iw.observer/iw-story-festival and at Quay Arts.
