A team of 20 volunteers cleared the cliff path in and around Battery Gardens, Lake, with the local Men in Sheds joining residents to improve the walkway for residents and tourists.
Volunteers cleared overhanging bushes, removed weeds from steps and passageways, and litter-picked the alcoves overlooking Sandown Bay.
Participants said this is becoming an annual event, with other work planned at Lake War Memorial. There is also a possible partnership with Men in Sheds, newly relocated to Lake, to prioritise improvements in the parish and work with partners, including the parish council, to respond to requests from the local community.
