Visit Shedfest this weekend at Sandown Airport

This weekend (June 15 and 16) the Island’s ‘Shed Fest’ will take place at Sandown Airport. The weekend event, organised by the Island’s ‘Shed’ members, will be open from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

There will be fun for all the family with a variety of stalls and activities, as well as refreshments and live music. There will be a beer festival at the event on both days, which will be open later on Saturday evening. Entry is free with plenty of onsite parking.

On the Sunday it’s Father’s Day, an ideal opportunity for dad and grandad to come along and meet the local ’Men in Sheds’ members and find out what they do. There will be representatives from six locals sheds, together with a further four from the mainland, as well as volunteers from the IW Steam Railway, the Bus Museum, Sandown and Shanklin Rotary and many more.

Sandown Airport is the home of Sandown Aviation Museum and Sandown Shed.

The ‘Shedfest’ event has been sponsored by the Royal British Legion, with donations from Wight Aid and the Wight Aviation Museum.
