Ventnor Foodbank appeal

By Mal Butler Nov 24, 2023

Ventnor Community Foodbank is working with local schools to provide Christmas parcels for local families in need and is appealing for donated items.

Items can be dropped off at various donation points, including The Co-op, St. Catherine’s Church and Norris Stores, Niton.

Donations can also be made at the Foodbank on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (10am-noon) and Baby Box in Victoria Street.

So far this year, the foodbank has fed 1,059 people, 781 adults and 278 children and is much busier than this time last year.

Donations required include ‘gift’ toiletries, boxes of biscuits, chocolates and sweets, mince pies, Christmas puddings, chutney, jams and peanut-butter. Tea bags, coffee and hot chocolate, tinned fish, sponge puddings, tinned soup and dried veggie roasts are also welcomed. For more information, please contact tony@ventnortowncouncil.org.uk
