“Our clients’ projects have always driven our approach to the way we work. This has added a depth of experience and understanding which enables us to fulfil anything from business cards to brochures, books to jigsaws, waterproof navigational aids to printed wooden medals and everything in between!”
Adding to their existing in-house printing capabilities in 2021, Meridian 3 decided to purchase a flatbed printer. “This has opened up so many more possibilities”, said Barry. “We had long considered the idea of a flatbed printer. We already had our press for producing products such as greeting cards, leaflets and brochures etc., but the idea of producing jigsaw puzzles came up and after gauging interest from prospective customers, well, the response was phenomenal! Even before the machine was installed we had taken lots of orders and, by the beginning of November 2021, we were up and running, producing puzzles that would obviously end up as Christmas gifts.
“We set up an online ‘store’ which people can get to from our website – here they can choose to ‘customize’ a jigsaw puzzle by uploading a photo or graphics. Although people are obviously having fun creating jigsaws throughout the year, we can already see they are going to be popular again this season. People can get them delivered to themselves or direct to their friends and relatives, which is great if they live a long way off.”
