On Saturday 25th , Robin Hill’s Chinese lions and dragon procession ventured to the Southampton City Chinese New Year celebration via a Red Funnel ferry.
The legendary Dragon wound its way through the city and up to the Guildhall Square before the afternoon extravaganza, with an exciting show from the Island’s own Spirit of the Orient.
Accompanied by these magnificent mythical creatures was a sizeable 12-part zodiac installation, telling the tale of the Chinese calendar. This visit will tease just a fraction of what’s on offer at the award-winning event, Spirit of the Orient, which comes to Robin Hill from 14th – 22nd February.
