Road blocked after Landrover rolled onto its side

On the first day that the main road into Godshill from Newport was closed for essential bridge repairs, an alternative route into the village was blocked after a Landrover rolled onto its side in single track Bagwich Lane.

The owner of the vehicle said that he had moved hard into the side of the road in order to avoid a car which was travelling too fast up the quiet road.
