Site plans for an expansion of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) provision at a secondary school have been approved.
Planners have granted the council consent to build a double mobile classroom building at The Bay CE Secondary School in Sandown.
The proposal will allow the school to increase its resourced places for autistic children from 15 to 20, according to a Design and Access statement.
Extra SEND provision will help the council deal with school place pressures from increased numbers of Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
