By Isle of Wight ObserverSarah Holmes, 27, an event rider from Rookley, has placed sixth in her section at the eventing competition in East Cowes.
The Osborne House event on Wednesday (July 25) was a scorcher, but that didn’t stop Island rider and her horse, Dunganstown Fleur, from coming ninth in the dressage event earlier in the day.
She then went clear in the show jumping event on another horse before finishing the day strongly in the cross country event on her “pocket rocket” Dunganstown Fleur.

Miss Holmes will return to Osborne House on Thursday (July 26) riding Lowhill Clover, in the Grand Prix event.
