The Sandhopper free bus, organised by the Isle of Wight Community Rail Partnership (CRP), starts its summer Sunday half-hourly service from Sunday (July 23) until August 27. It travels from Sandown Railway Station to the town, and Dinosaur Isle on the seafront’s Culver Parade.
The initiative from the CRP hopes to encourage day visitors and Islanders to make the most of the connectivity between Wightlink’s catamaran service, Island Line and the Southern Vectis bus service to the town museum and beach throughout the summer.
The Gaslight Community Café will also be open on the same days from midday until 4.30pm with refreshments and jazz from Ali Smith and friends between 1pm and 3pm.
