Shanklin & Sandown Rowing Club hosted a sponsored virtual round-the-Island row, with Sandown and Shanklin Rotarians, to raise funds to refurbish the Children’s Ward garden at St Mary’s Hospital, estimated to cost £13,000.
Sandown Rotary President, Ian Fletcher, said: “Thanks to all involved for taking part, to Shanklin Rowing Club for the venue and equipment, and all those that have sponsored the rowers. This is a much needed project that will make a real difference to the lives and well-being of young Islanders and their families.”
