Last year organisers raised a massive £15,000 for research into inherited progressive blindness.
This year the sponsored walk will take place on Sunday 9th June and will again start at The Salix at Hope Beach Shanklin and finish at The Old Fort, Seaview, approximately 12 miles along the beautiful coastal path of the Eastern Isle of Wight.
Last year 75 people took part in this sponsored walk to raise money for research into inherited sight loss for Retina UK, formerly RP Fighting Blindness.
Anybody wishing to take part should go to www.RetinaUK.org.uk/HopetoSeaview to register. If any kind people would like to sponsor the team or an individual please go to www.justgiving.com/HopetoSeaview2019.
The Isle of Wight group of Retina UK is determined to do as much as it can to restore sight for those who have lost or are losing their sight due to inherited progressive blindness, so that one day in the near future we can say Hope to Seaview again.
