The Post Office on Spindlers Road, St Lawrence, has closed following the resignation of the postmaster after 11 years of service and is not due to be replaced.
A Post Office spokesman confirmed: “When a Post Office branch closes, we undertake a comprehensive review of the network at a very detailed, local level, analysing customer demand and accessibility of our services.
“Consequently, we are not looking to replace St Lawrence Post Office at this time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause customers. Alternative branches are in Ventnor and Niton.”
